Quando vi uma ilustração que um conhecido meu fez, me apaixonei de cara e resolvi tentar reproduzir essa ilustração com imagens reais.
Tentei deixar o mais fiel possível à ilustração, pois percebi que cada prédio, cada janela e cada varanda tinham uma história pra contar, mas tomei a liberdade de fazer algumas mudanças, como inserir as rosas caindo.
Cada prédio foi construído do zero a partir de texturas, manipulação de imagens e técnicas de iluminação. Eu redesenhei a parte de cima do balão no Illustrator e só depois levei para o Photoshop.
Trabalhei bastante com color grading para que a imagem pudesse transmitir uma chegada de algo bom, daí o nome "Arrival".

When I saw an illustration that a friend of a friend of mine did, I fell in love immediately and decided to try to recreate that illustration but with real images.
I tried to make it as faithful as possible to the illustration as I realized that each building, each window and each balcony had a story to tell, but I also took the liberty of making some changes, like adding the falling roses.
Each building was built from scratch using textures, image manipulation and lighting techniques. I redesigned the top of the balloon in Illustrator and only then took it to Photoshop.
I worked a lot with color grading so that the image could transmit the arrival of something good, hence the name "Arrival".
